Desire to Survive

I was in a local train today and i saw something which shook me off.
A vendor selling packets of biscuits and namkeen, the thing that shaken me was he couldn't see, he was blind.
Yet, he wasn't begging for his livelihood, he was challenging everything in his way of survival with all enthusiasm and courage.
He came inside the train shouting: "britania ka biscuit le lo, haldiram ka bhujiya, moong daal le lo"...
His voice was strong, full of enthusiasm and charm. No sign of depression or helplessness of being blind was in his voice nor on his face. He was dark, thin and beard. His blind eyes was not visible on his face, they were dug inside, only his eye-brows and a curve for eyes were markable.
He had long stick in his hand which stands with him upto his shoulders and a big bag hanging from his left arm, and packets of haldiram moong daals and bhujiya as well as pouches of gutkhas were hanging from his right arm. I called him and asked for a packet of good day biscuit, he responded boldly: "15 rupaye sir" and dig his hand in the corner of his bag and came out with packet of biscuits. He expanded his hand in the direction of my voice and shouted with charm: "ye lijiye sir, good day biscuit", I got up and took the packet from him and gave him a currency of Rs20, which he took in his hand and with his fingers moving over it he tried to guess the amount of the currency note in his hand, I said "20 ka note hai bhaiya, aap 5 wapas karo". With a small smile and a little embarrasment on his face, he kept that note in the pocket of his pant and took out few coins from his shirt and gave me a Rs5 coin.
Few more people around me bought some buscuits and namkeen packets from him and he happily served each of them and moved on shouting: "britania ka biscuit le lo, haldiram ka bhujiya, moong daal le lo"....
Soon his voice vanished in the roar of train and the croud inside it.
While eating the biscuit which I bought from him, I was wondering how that man was standing against his fate, how he was slapping his poverty with the palm of his courage and how he was sailing his boat of life against the storm of his blindness and disability with his charming smile, fearless bold voice and enthusiasm.
I truely got inspired by him and thought of loosers who quickly give up to the fate, to failures, to the life and commits suicide just because they couldn't cleared some entrance exams or couldn't succeed in business or got dumped by some girl or boy. I learned then nothing in this world can break you if you have a brave heart beating inside your body.
No disease, no disability, no poverty, no failure, no evil in this world is greater than your own courage and beleif in yourself. If you have guts, you can face any challenge, anything in this world and no one can stop you from acheiving the success you deserve.
Never give up, keep smiling and keep moving in life...
